  • Co-educational, ages 12 – 21
  • Full instructional day, 8:20 – 3:15
  • Class size: 4-6 students
  • Extracurricular activities available through partner agencies
  • Occupational preparatory curriculum based on North Carolina course of study
  • Comprehensive vocational aptitude and interest inventory assessment, as part of transition planning
  • Progressive, research-based curricula targeting:

ü   Life-centered academic preparation

ü   Hands-on instruction with “real life” applications

ü   Daily living skills, including cooking and time management

ü   Social skills, taught explicitly in class and implicitly through school-wide culture
