Now Accepting Applications for 2018-2019

Appropriate candidates for Philips Academy (ages 11-27) exhibit the following characteristics:

1. Diagnosis of cognitive delay or developmental disability (low to low-average IQ), or autism spectrum disorder
2. No history of significant behavioral or psychological disorders, often socially naïve
3. Ability to work within a small group and to transition between school and community activities
4.  Motivated to work hard and exhibits basic communication skills
5. Family network committed to working with the school

 

To apply:

1. Complete our Online Inquiry Form or attend an Admissions Open House (Nov. 6 or Jan. 17).

2. Email afirth@PhilipsAcademyNC.org to set up a Campus Tour & Parent Interview (available Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:30 and 10:30).

3. Submit completed application along with supporting documentation.

4. A student visit and placement assessment will be scheduled after the application has been reviewed.

 

Tuition 

Tuition to Philips Academy for the 2018-2019 school year is about $20,000 for the full day school program and $9,000 for the half day post-Secondary program (Bridges). 

Payment plans, scholarships (up to 50%), discounts, and North Carolina State Grants (up to $21,000 per year) are available. 

Limited need-based financial aid is available.  Eligibility is determined by the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Program. Financial aid applications are available online at www.factstuitionaid.com.
